About Us

Welcome to the new C & G Bus website. My name is Cheryl and I am the bus coordinator. I would like to tell you a little bit about C & G Busand how it all got started.

In 1998, my mother (Carol) and my cousin (Ginger) decided they wanted to try and charter a bus to Turning Stone, as they had not had a good experience on a bus trip they took to the casino, so they thought "how hard could this be to run a bus?" With dozens of flyers in hand, and with a lot of help from friends, they proceeded to spread the word by placing an ad in the local newspaper and placing flyers on cars at the local bingo halls. When the calls started coming in, they were well on their way to becoming a very successful business. As Turning Stone was expanding their bingo hall, C & G Bus was also growing their business.

As the customer base grew and word of mouth spread, C & G grew expeditiously with many bus trips to Turning Stone as often as once a week for almost 10 years. The customers just loved playing bingo on the bus and making new friends. After about 10 years, Carol had decided to take a hiatus from running the business with Ginger, as she was working full time, but Ginger decided to keep the bus moving. With lots of help from the customers, she was able to keep the business running. Ginger loved playing bingo no matter when it was or where it was, it was her passion but, in 2010, Ginger could no longer do the business alone and fortunately, Carol had just retired and was able to rejoin Ginger in running the business. For the next 2 years, the bus trip business was booming with 2 trips a month to Turning Stone and customer base still growing.

In 2012, I was fortunate enough to join my mom, Carol, as Ginger's health had started to deteriorate and could no longer come on the bus trips. As we were going to miss Ginger deeply, we knew she would want us to keep C & G Bus going.

When I joined with my mother in 2012, I had a lot to learn. It wasn't easy running a bus, but I was determined to make it work. In 2017, my mom decided she was ready to retire from C & G Bus after almost 20 years and handed over the business to me. So, here we are 7 years later from once I started, chartering buses twice a month to Turning Stone, adding trips to Tioga Downs, Mohegan Sun Pocono, del Lago, and Sands Bethlehem. As I am very busy coordinating all these trips, I wouldn't trade it for the world. The camaraderie I share with all of my customers is beyond reproach. This is what has made us "The Friendliest Bus in Town ".

Our trips are a lot of fun and everyone loves to yell BINGO! We hope you consider us for your next bus trip. Please feel free to browse the website and leave a comment or suggestion.

Thanks again for visiting and hope to see you on one of our future trips!
